La triade:Brahma, Vishnu et Shiva

Brahmā est le dieu créateur-démiurge de l'hindouisme.avec Vishnou et Shiva, fait partie de la Trimurti, la Triade Hindoue, dans laquelle il est l'ordonnateur. Il est le premier membre de la triade hindoue, l'esprit suprême.  Brahma est le créateur actif de l'univers, le créateur de la matière et de l'univers. Il est le Prajapati, ou le seigneur et père de toutes les créatures. Sarasvatī est son épouse, son énergie, . Sa monture est une oie ou un cygne. Sa couleur est le rouge. Bien qu'étant le Créateur de toutes les créatures vivantes, il n'y a que quelques temples lui étant totalement dédiés dont  ceux de   Pushkar au Rajasthan, de Kumbakonam, à Thirupattur et Pondichéry au Tamil Nadu, et de Thirunavaya au Kerala. Il est représenté avec quatre têtes et quatre bras. Chacune de ses têtes récite un des quatre Veda.

Ses mains tiennent :

  1. un pot à bec,

  2. un rosaire,

  3. un livre (pustaka) représentant le texte des Veda,

  4. une ou deux louches sacrificielles.
    Bien qu'étant le créateur il n'intervient que très peu dans la vie des humains.

Brahmā is the creator-demiurge god of Hinduism. Along with Vishnu and Shiva, is part of the Trimurti, the Hindu Triad, in which he is the orderer. He is the first member of the supreme Hindu triad, the spirit. Brahma is the active creator of the universe, the creator of matter and the universe. He is the Prajapati, or the lord and father of all creatures. Sarasvati is his consort, his energy, . His mount is a goose or a swan. Its color is red. Although he is the Creator of all living creatures, there are only a few temples totally dedicated to him including Pushkar in Rajasthan, Kumbakonam, Thirupattur and Pondicherry in Tamil Nadu, and Thirunavaya in Kerala. He is depicted with four heads and four arms. Each of its heads recites one of the four Vedas.
His hands hold:
1.a beaker,
2. a rosary,
3. a book (pustaka) representing the text of the Vedas, one or two sacrificial ladles.

Although being the creator, he intervenes only very little in the life of humans
